Founded in 2009 by Donovan Fite and producer Jason Swanson, The Lonelys are a Tulsa-based power-pop quartet currently featuring Fite, Deanna Wiens, Shawn Bender and Jordan Jackson. The group is celebrated for blending 1960s and 70s influences—reminiscent of the Beatles and Queen—with rich vocal harmonies and vintage instrumentation. Beyond their own discography, the members serve as the backing band for Hot Toast Music Co., where they mentor aspiring school children and record within the historic walls of The Church Studio.
The band recently followed up their collaborative project, Hoop’s Songs Volume I, with the February 2026 release of their single “Cake.” This track serves as the lead-in for their upcoming third studio album, Whenever You Want.
