The Marriotts

Jennifer Marriot is a multifaceted artist from Canada, known for her soulful singing and dynamic presence in the local music scene, often performing with her husband, blues artist Pete Marriott. They have lived in Tulsa for approximately twenty years and blend various music styles, drawing comparisons to Janis Joplin. An award-winning vocalist, Jennifer has won the Blues Society of Tulsa (BST) Vocalist of the Year twice and has performed at numerous festivals across the country. The Marriotts played the Tunes @ Noon series at the Church Studio in January and have been on stage many times performing with Ann Bell and the Tulsa Sound at Carney Fest.

Together with their band, they support five independent CD releases and participate in local events. They are both releasing new music this year: Jennifer recently recorded a new 10-song release, and Pete has a completed 10-song release. They are fun to watch as well, with their playful stage chemistry. You can often catch them at the Osage Casino or the Sidecar Barley & Wine Bar on Cherry Street.

The Red Dirt Rangers

For nearly four decades, the ageless Red Dirt Rangers—John Cooper, Brad Piccolo, and Ben Han—have served as ambassadors of the genre they helped pioneer. Forging what they call an “elusive stew,” their Red Dirt sound blends country, rock and roll, bluegrass, and Western swing, guided by storytelling and unburdened by heavy studio gloss. Rooted in Oklahoma’s red soil and inspired by Woody Guthrie’s devotion to the “honest song,” their music carries the dance-hall spirit of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys alongside a social conscience—music so, as they say, “you can still dance at the revolution.” Emerging from the late ’70s Stillwater songwriter scene with artists like Jimmy LaFave and Bob Childers, the Rangers helped establish a songwriting-first tradition that continues today through bands like Turnpike Troubadours and The Great Divide. Now on their eleventh album—including a children’s record—they remain central to the most influential homegrown genre in Oklahoma music.

That commitment to community extends far beyond the stage. In 2012, the Red Dirt Rangers co-founded the Red Dirt Relief Fund, which has since awarded more than $1 million in emergency grants to Oklahoma music professionals, supported by annual fundraisers like Skinner Fest in Tulsa.

Their longstanding relationship with The Church Studio includes multiple recordings—beginning with 2002’s Staring Down the Sun, produced by Steve Ripley—along with standout appearances in the Tunes @ Noon series and intimate 2025 In Sessions performances. These sessions flow into their newest project, “Red Dirt Town,” their first studio album in seven years. A true love letter to Oklahoma music, the album features Evan Felker (of Turnpike Troubadours) and a tribute to Ripley with “Oklahoma Blues.”

The Lonelys

Founded in 2009 by Donovan Fite and producer Jason Swanson, The Lonelys are a Tulsa-based power-pop quartet currently featuring Fite, Keri Hackbarth, Paul Paino, and Deanna Weims. The group is celebrated for blending 1960s and 70s influences—reminiscent of the Beatles and Queen—with rich vocal harmonies and vintage instrumentation. Beyond their own discography, the members serve as the backing band for Hot Toast Music Co., where they mentor aspiring school children and record within the historic walls of The Church Studio.

The band recently followed up their collaborative project, Hoop’s Songs Volume I, with the February 2026 release of their single Cake.” This track serves as the lead-in for their upcoming third studio album, Whenever You Want. Fans can experience their high-energy performances across Tulsa at venues like The Vanguard and Sidecar Barley & Wine Bar or catch their live sessions via YouTube and major streaming platforms.

They are streaming on all major platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify. Check out their high-energy live production on YouTube.
