Garrick Fausett & the Revelry
Ask Garrick Fausett what he plays and he’ll tell you: Outlaw Folk. Six generations of Ozark family history behind him, a biology degree in his back pocket, and a full band called The Revelry giving his songs muscle.
Fausett grew up singing four-part harmony in church, learned music theory in middle school band, and taught himself guitar by ear in his early 20s. Open mics around Neosho eventually led him to Tulsa, which he now calls home.
His songs pull from bluegrass, gospel, Red Dirt, classic country, and rock, all filtered through an Ozark upbringing shaped by nature, conservation, and self-reliance. Fausett leads on rhythm guitar and vocals, joined by Israel Brock on drums, Kolby Schnieder on bass, and Thaddeus Morton on lead guitar.
His single “Horsey” earned a 2025 Josie Music Award nomination for Americana Song of the Year. “No Good Boy” puts The Revelry’s full-band drive front and center. His upcoming release, “The Distance,” pays tribute to Bob Childers, linking Fausett’s Ozark roots to one of Oklahoma songwriting’s most enduring legacies.
Outlaw and folk may sound like they should keep their distance. Fausett brings them together somewhere between the Ozarks he inherited and Tulsa he chose.
