Beyana Band
There is music in Mariel Luna’s voice even before she begins to sing. Poised and confident, she carries a contained intensity that expands into a larger-than-life persona onstage. When she smiles, the song feels as though it belongs to you, too.
Mariel had been writing songs since she was seven and performing as a solo artist when musician and producer Jimmy Osa heard her. They began creating music together and eventually founded Beyana Band, with percussionist Ryan Santana later joining them to form the band’s core lineup.
At the center of Beyana’s sound are Mariel’s vocals, guitar, and influences from classic and Latin rock. Jimmy adds guitar, pop, Latin fusion, and a producer’s instincts, while Ryan grounds the band in percussion and musical traditions from around the world.
“Fire,” Mariel’s original song performed in both English and Spanish, captures the band’s personality. Confident and full of heat, it reflects the blend of cultures and influences that shapes their music.
Beyana made its Tunes @ Noon debut during The Church Studio’s Cinco de Mayo celebration, filling the room with percussion, bright melodies, and a festive energy built for movement.
Since that first appearance, Beyana has become part of the Tunes @ Noon circle, returning to perform and showing up to support other artists. Even when the audience stays seated, the rhythm finds its way to their feet.
